What Does It Mean to Be Liberated?
Day 7 of the #highvibechallenge is about LIBERATION…
When I think of what it means to be LIBERATED, I think of being a creative and being able to fully express myself through my writing. This quote hit home for me:
“The artist produces for the liberation of his soul. It is his nature to create as it is the nature of water to run down the hill.” – W. Somerset Maugham
I am currently working on a manuscript of a book that I plan to self-publish later this year. I’ve written hundreds of pages but have more to go…I believe that when this book is out in the world I will be more LIBERATED as an artist…I believe that my stories will be able to help the people that need to read them. I believe that my soul’s desire is to create just like Somerset Maugham says.
What often holds me back from fully expressing myself is when I’m too attached to the outcome. I’m thinking about how people will respond. Guess what? I can’t control it so I need to LET IT GO!! The concept of LIBERATION is exciting when I do become less attached to the outcome – then I go back into my girl cave to write some more…
When we are fully LIBERATED we are FREE. It’s something to aspire to in this lifetime. I want that, don’t you?
These photos in this post were taken in July as part of a group coaching/mastermind retreat of spiritual business leaders. A large part of the experience included prayer, meditation and being STILL in order to connect with our souls and the Universe. These activities continue as part of my daily life on my journey to LIBERATION. I’ve found these practices so helpful to ground myself, visualize and manifest what I want AND protect my energy.
I thank each of you that has read or commented on my posts from the last seven days. I’ve enjoyed writing them and seeing your responses. I realize I need to be more disciplined and write more…
Much love and light
